Our laboratory
Every Lakshmi formulation is developed and produced at La Verde Vita, our laboratory in Tuscany, part of Lakshmi Holding. Analysis runs through Genesis, our own analysis laboratory, and research has been led by an in-house R&D department since 2011. More than 300 products have been developed this way since 1989.
Owning the chain shows in the details: seven patented actives across the range, PROTEASYL TP, BL Peptide 19, Phytosoothe, Actiderm, Epicalmin, Zanthalene and Alpaflor Alp-Sebum CB. Every formula is dermatologically tested. Airless packaging arrived in 2012, and since 2022 the packaging itself has been 100% recycled and produced in-house.
The garden
Our headquarters, the Lakshmi Garden, has stood since 2017 in Bosco Chiesanuova, inside the Lessinia Regional Park above Verona: bioarchitecture in FSC-certified pine, powered by photovoltaics, watered by rainwater cisterns. The botanical garden grows damask rose, jasmine, lavender, helichrysum, Bulgarian rose, Himalayan cedar, bergamot, lemon balm and clary sage.
The Indian anchor
Since 2014, the Ananda Lakshmi Ayurvedic Retreat in Kerala, India, has been part of the house: authentic Panchakarma protocols led by resident Ayurvedic medical staff, and the destination of our annual journey to India.
The people
Lakshmi is still run by the family that founded it, and made by a workforce that is 79% female, with a technical department of thirteen women. In the United States, the face of the brand is Giudi Niccoli. Every product ships under the promise on our wordmark: MADE WITH JOY.
Certified, product by product
Lakshmi formulas have been certified to AIAB Bio Eco Cosmesi, an Italian standard for natural and organic cosmetics, since 2008, with certification held per product. Formulas are Nickel Tested and cruelty-free.
